Mary Faktor is a motivational speaker, professional actor, author, and business owner. She is proprietor of THE ANGEL'S NEST BED AND BREAKFAST/ RETREAT in Peninsula, Ohio and is a member of the National Speaker's Association, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Screen Actors Guild, National Association of Self Esteem, and Youth Motivation Task Force.
Mary is personally trained and certified as a Self Esteem and Life Balance Workshop Facilitator by Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul) and has been trained in Relationship Communication by Dr. John Gray (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.) Mary is certified in Emotional Release Therapy (ERT) by Dr. Walter Weston (Healing Yourself, Healing Others,) and is a Level 2 REIKI practitioner.
Mary has attended educational training such as the Worldwide Summit Conference in San Francisco and Argentina's SEAL Conference (Society for Effective/Affective Learning) and has presented her inspirational workshop "Inner Voices, Smart Choices" in the U.S. and internationally....from the staff of the prestigious Lincoln School in Buenos Aires to the state conference of DARE Officers in Ohio, and other educational, medical, corporate and organizaitonal conferences throughout the U.S.
As a graduate of The Second City of Chicago and Cleveland, Mary teaches Improvisation to executives with her workshop, "Improve with Improv" improving communication and brainstorming through fun, interactive games. Since 1984, Mary has been entertaining audiences across the country with her thought-provoking, original one-woman comedy show, "The Six Ages of Woman." Her inspirational and interactive workshops include: "Inner Voices, Smart Choices," "The Spirited Workplace," "Prescription Laughter," and "Venus and Mars Meet Myers and Briggs" and have been presented to major corporations, associations, hospitals, churches, prisons and schools throughout the country.
Mary incorporates her message of self growth with humorous anecdotes and selections of thought-provoking poetry from her book, INNER VOICES. Her accomplishments have been featured on various television newscasts and major newspapers throughout the country.
In 1995, Mary was honored as one of the Top 20 Women Business Owners of Northeast Ohio with her business, Faktor's Talent Network, Inc., which provides professional variety talent, event planning, and creative services to many diverse organizations and businesses. Mary has co-hosted the "Today in Cleveland" television show, and can be seen most recently in the opening segment of the award winning film AMERICAN SPLENDOR (Winner Cannes, Sundance Film Festivals, named Top 10 movies of 2003 and currently nominated for various Golden Globes and Oscars)
Mary can soon be seen in the PBS production, YOU ARE HERE, and is currently filming 5 other independent films in NE Ohio. She can also be seen and heard on various radio and television commercials.
